Morning Moon Alpacas is located in Rogersville, Missouri at Anchor Hill Ranch. We are very excited about our new home. Our alpacas have the best of all worlds with plenty of pasture and lot's of hills to climb and trees for shade. We are at 1490 feet above sea level in the rolling hills of the Ozarks. Have Stud Will Travel©

We had a successful Stud Run with the boys last year. They not only got to do breeding's but they and I got to see last years cria at every location we visited.

Morning Moon's "Mobile Stud Service" will be on the road with selected studs this spring Leaving Missouri and starting in Arkansas, then to Tennessee for breedings. If you have a stud which interests you for a breeding to one of your dams please contact us to set up arrangements.

Black Bear Attack

Unfortunately I had to kill a black bear at 1:10 pm on our farm today. I never want or like to kill any animal. I do not hunt for the same reason. But when a bear has entered our fence line and was witnessed by my wife and myself chasing our alpacas, and then standing full upright threatening and ready to battle the livestock guardian dogs, I had no option but to shoot the bear. I have every right to protect my family and my livestock from any threat. I would do it again if necessary.

Alpacas Donated to the American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society of Southwest Missouri receives funds from one of their largest fund raiser events, The Cattle Barron's Ball and Auction of Southwest Missouri. We are donating two Jr. Herdsires for auction. The lucky boys are Shanghai's Samari and Cupid's Icarus. We are very pleased to be a part of this wonderful event.
